Cancellations

Draft for review. A lawyer has not reviewed this text yet and it may change before public launch.
1. What this page explains
How a booking request moves from request to confirmation, who can cancel it and when, and what Skillora does and does not do when a booking is cancelled. The agreement to provide a service is between the customer and the provider; Skillora is the place where they find each other, message and keep track of the booking (see the terms).
2. How a booking moves
- A customer picks a service and a time. Some providers confirm automatically (“instant booking”); the booking is then confirmed at once.
- Otherwise it is a request. The provider can accept or decline it. A request that gets no answer expires after 48 hours, or at the start time if that comes sooner. The time slot is then free again and both people are notified.
- After a confirmed appointment has started, the provider marks it as completed or as a no-show.
- Both people get a notification in Skillora whenever the status changes.
3. Cancelling as a customer
You can cancel a request or a confirmed booking from your bookings page. Skillora does not apply a cancellation fee and does not enforce a cancellation deadline in the app.
Each service shows the cancellation terms the provider wrote for it (for example “Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the appointment”). Providers write these terms themselves. Skillora does not check them or enforce them. If you want something specific, agree it with the provider in the chat before you book, and please cancel as early as you can.
4. Declining or cancelling as a provider
A provider can decline a request, or cancel a confirmed booking before it starts. Please do this as early as possible and tell the customer why in the chat.
5. Money
Skillora helps customers and service providers connect and arrange services. Payments are agreed upon and handled directly between the customer and provider. Skillora does not collect, process, or guarantee payments.
This means Skillora never holds a deposit, never charges a cancellation fee and never refunds anything. If a customer and a provider agree on a deposit, a fee or a refund, they settle it directly between themselves. Skillora cannot collect a fee for either side or decide who is right about money. Keep your messages and any receipts in case you need them, and do not pay in advance to someone you do not trust.
6. Problems
If a booking is cancelled in a way that seems unfair or dishonest, use the report button on the profile or in the chat, or write to support@skillora.trade. Skillora can look at the report and, where the terms were broken, act on the account. It does not pay compensation or decide money disputes.
7. Consumer rights, fees and liability
